Extrusion

Regranulation lines

A regranulation line turns production scrap — sprues, start-up material, rejected parts, film trim — back into granulate that can be fed into production again. That cuts both the cost of virgin material and the volume of waste leaving the plant.

Each line is configured around the processed material, the form the scrap arrives in and the required throughput. The screw, the pelletising head and the cooling method all have a direct effect on the quality of the resulting granulate, so we specify them individually rather than off a catalogue page.

LINE CONFIGURATION

  • Scrap feeding and dosing, matched to the input form
  • Extrusion unit — screw and barrel specified for the material
  • Melt filtration
  • Pelletising head
  • Granulate cooling and drying
  • Take-off, conveying and filling

We handle the complete delivery including installation. Our regular extrusion range — screws, barrels, heating bands and insulation — covers the line's wear parts too, so they come from the same supplier.
